CCA Health Rhode Island’s plans combine medical, dental and prescription drug benefits, while offering additional benefits such as transportation, grocery delivery services and more

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – October 4, 2022 – In advance of the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) beginning on October 15, CCA Health Rhode Island has announced the details and benefits of its suite of Medicare plans for eligible Rhode Island residents.

“We are proud to offer a range of comprehensive health plans that will make a real, tangible difference in the lives of Rhode Islanders,” said Corey McCarty, general manager, CCA Health Rhode Island. “Our proven, uncommon care® model proactively addresses social factors that impact health, meets our members where they are, and offers individuals with significant needs more choices when it comes to health insurance.”

Headquartered in the heart of the Providence Innovation and Design District, CCA Health Rhode Island is offering its existing and prospective members three plans during AEP. CCA’s two Medicare Advantage Plans – CCA Medicare Preferred and CCA Medicare Value – are available to individuals who live in Rhode Island and are eligible for Medicare. CCA’s Medicare Special Needs Plan – CCA Medicare Maximum – is available to Rhode Islanders who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.

“CCA offers the most comprehensive set of benefits for dual-eligible Rhode Islanders,” said McCarty. “The CCA difference is that our care partners are meeting members where they are, in their homes if needed, personally ensuring their access to affordable, whole-person healthcare. In addition to the comprehensive benefits we have introduced for our dual-eligible members, we have also enhanced our Medicare Advantage plan benefits, such as adding more zero-dollar copays in areas like behavioral health.”

The majority of CCA Health Rhode Island’s plans start at $0 per month, including $0 copays for primary and behavioral healthcare visits; and $0 copays for routine dental, vision and hearing care. Depending on the plan and eligibility, additional benefits may include:

“We understand that our members’ needs extend far beyond the traditional setting of a doctor’s office,” said McCarty. “From addressing macro issues like housing and food security to offering benefits for everyday necessities like sneakers and eyeglasses, we’ve been very intentional in the holistic design of our plans, which aim to provide supports for every facet of our members’ health and well-being.”

CCA Health Rhode Island members are also eligible for fully covered, in-home urgent care services provided through instED   a mobile integrated health solution that offers CCA members a convenient and practical alternative to visiting an emergency department for non-emergency care.
