Shah brings nearly fifteen years of healthcare expertise to CCA’s executive leadership team

BOSTON, MAApril 4, 2019 After a national search, Commonwealth Care Alliance, Inc. (CCA) today announced the appointment of Mihir Shah as its next chief financial officer (CFO). Shah is a seasoned healthcare executive with nearly fifteen years of leadership experience in the healthcare industry and has served as CCA’s interim CFO since August 2018.

“In just a few short months, Mihir has brought rigor and discipline to ensure our organization’s ongoing financial success and has demonstrated a deep commitment to our mission, our members and patients, and to our dedicated staff,” said Christopher D. In addition to a wealth of experience in financial management, Shah has an impressive track record of growing healthcare plans while improving reporting, reducing overhead, and optimizing organizational workflow. Shah, a Certified Public Accountant with a master of commerce-cost accounting, also has a strong background working across Medicare and Medicaid plans, physician group practices, and palliative care organizations. 

Prior to joining CCA, Shah served as CFO of Apollo Medical Holdings, Inc. (ApolloMed), an integrated population health management company based in California. Shah played a critical role in developing and executing ApolloMed’s corporate strategy, helped coordinate a merger, and oversaw a significant revenue increase from $150 million to $400 million. Shah has also served as CFO of Unitek Information Systems and in a variety of roles at Arcadian Health, now a part of Humana.
