Corey McCarty Named Board Chair of Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island

CCA Rhode Island General Manager Corey McCarty has been appointed to chair the board of Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island, a nonprofit working to address the issues of food insecurity and social isolation that are risk factors for negative health outcomes among homebound older adults. McCarty will serve a two-year term as chair.

“Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island is well-positioned for long-term success, and I am honored to have the opportunity to help lead that effort,” McCarty said. “As we implement our strategic plan, we will call upon the talents and commitment of our entire board, team, and volunteers to continue to modernize our approach on initiatives that help seniors age in place.”

McCarty has been a member of the board since 2018, most recently serving as treasurer.
