With more than 20 years of leadership experience, Waggoner will drive Massachusetts market performance as CCA continues to expand nationally

BOSTON, MA – March 3, 2022 – Commonwealth Care Alliance® (CCA), a national, multi-state healthcare organization with proven expertise in complex care coordination and delivery, today announced the appointment of healthcare industry veteran Mark Waggoner to lead CCA’s Massachusetts market.

As general manager, Waggoner will oversee the Massachusetts market, with a focus on growing CCA Senior Care Options (SCO), CCA One Care and CCA’s Medicare Advantage health plans.

He’ll be focused on building and strengthening relationships with key provider partners, advocates and regulatory officials, as well as managing the member experience, and the performance of the plans.

Before joining CCA, Waggoner served as the founding president and chief executive officer of Experience Health, Inc., where he was responsible for the design, launch and operation of all aspects of the health plan. He also served as the senior vice president of Care Integration and Management at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island and worked at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care managing the Massachusetts and Rhode Island delivery system relationships.

Waggoner earned his undergraduate degree at Clemson University, his master’s degree in health administration and policy from the Medical University of South Carolina, and his MBA from Bentley University.
