The award is part of the newly launched Quality Initiative Program, which aims to improve the quality of care for high-needs, high-cost individuals

CCA has awarded the Lowell Community Health Center (LCHC) $50,000 to address gaps in care for individuals with chronic conditions, such as diabetes. The population LCHC serves are individuals that “unfortunately, have generally been overlooked by society,” says Umar Farooq, general manager of Massachusetts at CCA. LCHC is one of several federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) to receive an award as part of the CCA Quality Initiative Program. These entities can use the award to cover preventive care and flu and COVID-19 vaccination.
