To slow the spread of the coronavirus, all Massachusetts residents must wear a face mask or cloth covering on their face in public places where you can’t keep six feet of space from others. This order does not apply to children under 5, or to people unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a medical condition.

It is still especially important for people at high risk of COVID-19 to stay home. However, if you do need to go out, make sure you cover your face.

Cloth face coverings should cover your nose and mouth and fit snugly against the side of the face. Wash your mask routinely in the washing machine.

Watch this video1 from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to learn how to safely wear and handle your face mask.
