Behavioral Health
The CCA Health behavioral health (BH) provider network offers a broad continuum of behavioral health services, including emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and diversionary services. The goal of our behavioral health program is to support dual-eligible members who have severe and persistent behavioral health issues, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders and enable them to live successfully in their communities.
CCA Health utilizes a person-centered approach that makes members the principal voice in their care management and planning. We contract with BH providers that subscribe to a framework of least restrictive, community-based services available whenever clinically appropriate. Our contracted BH providers are expected to:
- Use evidence-based practices, outcome measurement, and utilization management as examples of best practice service delivery
- Collaborate with medical providers on assessment and care planning processes to improve the outcome of the member’s health
- Incorporate wellness, resiliency, trauma-informed care, and recovery principles and practices into their care approaches
- Offer recovery-oriented services
The CCA Health Behavioral Health Performance Specifications, listed below, are designed to help our BH providers deliver services that drive clinical excellence, ethical and professional integrity, integration of all medical and BH needs, member accessibility, and cultural sensitivity.
