The Emergency Broadband Benefit is a new program designed to help you pay for Internet service and equipment during COVID-19. This is a temporary program offered by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Eligible households receive:
All Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA) members are eligible for the program based on their MassHealth status. For more rules around eligibility, visit: getemergencybroadband.org/do-i-qualify1
If you already have an Internet provider who participates in the program, they can also help you apply. Click here1 to see if they participate in the program.
If you don’t already have an Internet provider who participates in the program, once your application is approved, you can sign up for service with a participating provider using your new discount. Click here1 to find a provider.
The program will end when the funds run out of money, or six months after the U.S. ends the COVID-19 health emergency. Your Internet provider should notify you when the program is scheduled to end.
