CCA Health Rhode Island has added the providers of Brown Medicine, an academic multi-specialty medical group, to its comprehensive Rhode Island network of primary and specialty care providers.

Brown Medicine brings 152 specialists, 71 primary care providers, 7 primary care sites, and an ambulatory surgical center to the CCA Health Rhode Island provider network through this new agreement.

“CCA Health began as a provider organization. Today we marry our strong provider partnerships and our uncommon care® model to improve the health and well-being of people with significant needs,” said Corey McCarty, senior vice president and general manager, CCA Health Rhode Island. “Brown Medicine is similarly aligned with our mission and we look forward to collaborating to deliver high-quality, value-based care to our members.”

Brown Medicine joins CCA Health Rhode Island’s robust provider network, which already includes Lifespan, Coastal Medical, Thundermist Health Center, Providence Community Health Centers, Landmark Medical Center, Care New England, Prospect Medical, Rhode Island Primary Care Physicians Corporation, and many more providers delivering high-value care to CCA Health Rhode Island members.

Headquartered in the heart of the Providence Innovation and Design District, CCA Health Rhode Island offers two Medicare Advantage plans and a Dual Eligible Special Needs plan for people who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. These plans are designed to support a holistic approach to care that addresses both chronic conditions and multiple social or medical health needs.

Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA) has been active in Rhode Island since late 2020, building a network of clinical team members and administrative support personnel who provide comprehensive member management services, with a focus on preventive health/wellness, chronic care management, social networks, behavioral health, and specialty care needs. CCA officially launched its Medicare Advantage and Dual Eligible Special Needs plans in Rhode Island in January 2022.
