With the COVID-19 federal Public Health Emergency ending on May 11, 2023, some of the COVID-19 and telehealth flexibilities will end, unless further federal or state action occurs.

This change applies to all Commonwealth Care Alliance Massachusetts (CCA) and CCA Health Rhode Island product lines and may impact your work with our members, including service modes, location, coding, and billing of some services.

What is next:

CCA and CCA Health Rhode Island are reviewing the released federal and state guidance as well as monitoring for additional changes. We are working to develop further guidance and will update payment policies in accordance with the upcoming changes.

What providers can do now:

  1. Keep an eye out for further post-federal Public Health Emergency guidance.
  2. Providers will be notified when the payment policies are updated.
