instED’s in-home urgent care services are available to all CCA members at no charge.  This can be especially beneficial for people who are not able to access urgent medical care in a timely manner or are unable to get to a provider’s office for their urgent medical needs.  Members have expressed appreciation that we can help when appropriate to eliminate unnecessary ED visits and the disruptive inpatient stays that sometimes follow.

In addition to urgent care, Care Teams can also request scheduled instED visits for members up to two days in advance.  Planning an instED visit in advance for a high-risk member – for example, ahead of an anticipated hospital discharge –  may help prevent unnecessary ED visits.

Want to request an instED visit for your patient?

instED’s service hours are 10a.m. to 10p.m. and available 365 days a year.  The service area includes all of Massachusetts, except the Cape and the islands; All of Rhode Island, except Block and Prudence islands.

CCA members and their care givers are also able to contact instED directly to request their own instED visits for in-home urgent medical care.

instED hosts live virtual trainings on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month on Microsoft Teams from 3-4p.m. Attending a session is recommended for all new care team members.  The presentation can also help as a refresher for previously trained care team members that have yet to request an instED visit. If you would like to attend a training to learn about the service, capabilities and how to request a visit,  or for any other questions about in- home urgent care for your  patients, please email Lauren Gray at [email protected]
