Since March 2020, when the U.S. Federal Government declared the COVID-19 pandemic a national Public Health Emergency (PHE), Medicaid members have been protected from losing their health insurance coverage. However, those coverage protections ended in April 2023, and annual renewal and Medicaid eligibility redetermination that existed prior to the PHE has begun again.

As a result, Medicaid agencies across the nation are resuming yearly eligibility reviews for Medicaid coverage. Redeterminations have begun in most states, including Massachusetts, California, Michigan, and Rhode Island. CCA is committed to assisting every member in retaining their eligibility and keeping their Medicaid coverage. We have resources available to help and are committed to partnering with all providers in this effort. Members can be referred to CCA for assistance. Click here to learn more.
