Effective January 1, 2026, Commonwealth Care Alliance, Inc. (CCA) will update our preferred diabetic testing supplies:
- Covered in 2026: Abbott Freestyle and Roche Accu-Check products
- No Longer Covered in 2026: One Touch LifeScan test strips and glucometers
Important: There will be no transition period for LifeScan diabetic products. To prevent any disruption in your patients’ care, we ask that you:
- Switch all LifeScan prescriptions to Abbott Freestyle (covered now and throughout 2026) by December 31, 2025.
If you believe continued use of LifeScan products is medically necessary, you may submit an exception request for your patient.
