Summer has officially arrived in Massachusetts and brought with it some intense heat. Throughout the summer, CCA’s care teams are at the ready to help members find a cooling center in their community or address other heat-related needs. So, if you have patients who are CCA members and are struggling during a heat wave (or any other extreme weather this summer), please invite them to call CCA Member Services at 866-610-2273.
As you’ve already heard in our monthly stakeholder message, we continue to make steady progress in our business stabilization and optimization efforts at CCA. Much of our work is focused on bringing CCA’s processes and systems in line with industry- and state-standard billing guidelines and payment integrity processes. We need to ensure every claim is paid in a manner consistent with state and federal laws, industry standard billing guidelines, and our contracts with our providers. Making sure we are doing things correctly ensures we have the resources we need to deliver both value-added services and supplemental Medicare benefits to our high-risk members who need these services to stay safe in the community. As we continue to focus on the fundamentals, we are committed – as we know you also are – to the best possible experience and outcomes for those we serve.
As we head into the second half of the year, we are leaning in together with our provider partners to meet the needs of those we serve, leading with quality initiatives. To that end, I’d like to draw your attention to the link in this newsletter where you can find our 2025 Quality Measure Reference Guide. In the coming months we will take a deeper dive into our population health and care gap closure efforts, as we look to address any unmet needs, fulfill annual screenings and routine maintenance care, manage medications, and look for opportunities to elevate the patient/member experience.
