Commonwealth Care Alliance Massachusetts and CCA Health Rhode Island have made three new additions to our Medical Necessity Guidelines used to inform the decision-making process for requested services.

These new policies will take effect on May 15, 2023:

Updating Medical Necessity Guidelines is part of CCA’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of people with significant needs by innovating, coordinating, and providing the highest quality, individualized care.
