CCA supports the Massachusetts healthcare system in mitigating capacity challenges. Understanding there are capacity issues in many emergency departments at hospitals in certain parts of the Commonwealth, The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is expanding access to urgent care settings when appropriate.

For dates of service beginning July 3, 2024 through October 1, 2024, CCA will cover services provided by out-of-network urgent care clinics for CCA One Care or Senior Care Options (SCO) members.

Claims will be processed following standard Medicare fee schedules. As a reminder, providers cannot balance bill One Care and SCO members for these services. For questions regarding coverage of urgent care services, please contact the CCA Provider Services team at 866-420-9332, 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

This 90-day covered services extension includes out-of-network urgent care clinics located in Essex, Middlesex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Bristol, Plymouth, Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket counties.
