Commonwealth Care Alliance® (CCA), an integrated care system influencing innovative models of complex care nationwide, has named Nazlim Hagmann, M.D., M.P.H., as Senior Vice President and Acting Chief Medical Officer.

In this role, Dr. Hagmann is responsible for planning and developing clinical strategies. She will also identify, develop, and support the execution of initiatives that will help CCA provide its proven care model to members nationally. In addition, Dr. Hagmann, will oversee the organization’s Medical Directors in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Michigan, and California, and will provide physician leadership.

Prior to joining CCA, Dr. Hagmann most recently served as the Interim Chief Medical Officer East at Beacon Health Options where she led Clinical Strategy and Innovation, Clinical Implementation of Cost of Care Measures and Quality Improvement Initiatives, oversaw Utilization Management and Case Management, and supervised clinical staff in several markets throughout the country. Also in this role, Dr. Hagmann served as a partner on state behavioral health transformation activities and worked on the development of new business proposals and products.

As a psychiatrist, Dr. Hagmann has held positions at Kings County Hospital Center, Long Island College Hospital, and Soho Psychiatry. She holds a Master of Public Health degree from Heinrich-Heine University in Dusseldorf, Germany, and a Doctor of Medicine from Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany.
