Cultural Competency Training

Cultural Competency

To support its efforts to assist practitioners in delivering high-quality health care that meets the social, cultural, and linguistic needs of our members, CCA has developed cultural competency training courses specifically for practitioners and office staff participating in our network. CCA’s cultural competence training program was created with our specific members in mind and aims to improve member access to primary and specialty care while, providing high-quality and culturally competent medical and behavioral health care across various health care settings. As part of our commitment to deliver culturally competent care and services, CCA aims to reduce health disparities while improving health outcomes.

CCA conducts practitioner training during provider orientation. We also offer online, web-based refresher training annually, supportive training, and online with annual reinforcement training offered through Provider Services.

Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Tip Sheets: Language, Cultural, & Religious Resources

Providing an equitable healthcare experience by helping our providers meet language, cultural and religious needs at the practice level.

In support of our commitment to serving those with the most significant needs, CCA aims to approach the populations we mutually serve in the most informed and responsive way possible. To that end, we would like to share some information about the language patterns of CCA service areas, as well as information on providing an equitable care experience for patients across varying cultural and religious backgrounds.
