Important – Delayed Notification
Dear Members,
Recently, Commonwealth Care Alliance (“CCA”) identified an issue with our mail processes that may have caused you not to receive the attached notification in a timely manner. Unfortunately, some mail was returned as CCA did not correctly include your apartment number in the address. This was our error and we are re-sending all mail affected by this issue; you do not need to take any action to update your address.
We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this caused. Attached is the notice that we attempted to send previously for your records.
Please note – if the notice was related to services:
- If you requested services and they have been approved, there is no change to your approval unless an extension is required. In fact, you may have already accessed these services.
- If you requested services of CCA and they have been denied, we have extended the time you have to appeal this decision. Please see the attached letter for information regarding the appeals process. Please note that your appeal timeframe will begin with the day this letter is postmarked.
- Your provider has already received this notification regarding your services.
If you have questions or would like to discuss your options, call Member Services at 866-610-2273 (TTY 711), 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday, and 8 am to 6 pm, Saturday and Sunday, from April 1 to September 30. (October 1 to March 31: 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week.)
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Steffen,
Chief Compliance Officer
