Dr. Gregory Berger, CCA Health Michigan Medical Director, discussed the importance of dental care as a part of regular preventive healthcare in a column in the Hamtramck Review. While more than 1 million Michiganders lack access to adequate dental care, poor oral health can lead to adverse health outcomes throughout the body, Dr. Berger notes. Barriers also exist for those with insurance coverage, including limited access to services.
“For Michigan, the pieces to improving oral and dental health and wellbeing are already in place. Together, we can build a bridge to high quality, convenient dental care,” he writes.
