Stiffler brings nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare to the CCA executive leadership team
BOSTON, MA – June 7, 2021 – Commonwealth Care Alliance® (CCA), a nationally recognized not-for-profit, community-based, integrated healthcare organization focused on care and coordination for high-cost, high-needs individuals, today announced the appointment of Don Stiffler as chief corporate development officer. In this new role, Stiffler will serve as a key member of the CCA executive leadership team and lead the development of new markets and products, including the identification of new business opportunities for CCA and its subsidiaries that include value-based payment initiatives and shared savings arrangements. He will also coordinate efforts with the company’s innovation arm, Winter Street Ventures®, to foster scalability and innovations for the CCA care model.

Stiffler joins CCA after most recently serving as the National Vice President for Business Development at Optum/United Health Group, where he oversaw all business and network operations for the Complex Care Management Division. Prior to that role, Stiffler served as Vice President of Business Development for Eastern US, where he worked to lead 36 markets and held other business development and strategy positions. Preceding his time at Optum/United Health Group, Stiffler worked at the Community Behavioral Healthcare Network of Pennsylvania (CBHNP), where he served as the Vice President of Network Operations.
Stiffler holds a master’s degree in Psychology from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
