Financial leader with more than 20 years of healthcare experience joins CCA to advance nation-wide expansion and organization’s sustained innovation

BOSTON, MA – June 6, 2023Commonwealth Care Alliance® (CCA) today announced Frank Scalise has joined the organization as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). An accomplished financial leader, Scalise brings more than 20 years of regional and national healthcare experience leading all aspects of finance and accounting.

CCA is a mission-driven healthcare services organization that offers high-quality health plans and care delivery programs designed for individuals with significant needs. With offerings in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Michigan, and California, CCA delivers comprehensive, integrated, and person-centered care by coordinating the services of local staff, provider partners, and community organizations.

As CFO, Scalise will lead CCA’s entire finance organization including accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, actuarial and treasury. He will be joining CCA’s executive leadership team at a pivotal time as they continue their efforts to invest in, streamline, and scale CCA’s infrastructure, operational performance and other key initiatives.

Scalise joins CCA from DentaQuest, a national insurance provider that manages dental and vision benefits for over 30 million Medicaid, CHIP, commercial and other members. At DentaQuest, Scalise was the Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, successfully transforming the organization’s finance operating model, and significantly improving its effectiveness and efficiency. Scalise has also held finance leadership positions at ConnectiCare, Inc., Aetna, Inc., and CIGNA Healthcare.

Scalise earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Hartford and holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
