CCA’s new office underscores the organization’s continued operational growth; brings jobs and extended access to services to Worcester

WORCESTER, MA – November 23, 2020Commonwealth Care Alliance® (CCA), a not-for-profit community-based healthcare organization that provides and coordinates individualized care for 38,000 individuals with significant health needs, today announced a new office in Worcester that will serve as a home base for 60 CCA clinical and administrative team members in central Massachusetts. The new Worcester office (located at 100 North Parkway) will provide regional support to field-based care partners and primary care clinicians, as well as market development and provider engagement teams.

The CCA Senior Care Options (SCO) and One Care health plans specialize in helping individuals with multiple chronic illnesses and disabilities live safely and independently in their own homes. CCA’s health plans are among the fastest growing plans of their kind by membership, and the organization continues to grow its provider relationships across Massachusetts.

“Our growing presence in Worcester extends the reach of our validated care model and creates stronger engagement between our team and the thousands of members and patients we serve in central Massachusetts,” said Christopher D. Palmieri, president and CEO of Commonwealth Care Alliance. “This new office space represents our commitment to enhance our community partnerships in Worcester and to deliver on our mission of improving the health and well-being of individuals with significant needs throughout the region and beyond.”

“This new Worcester office location will strengthen the bridge between CCA’s strong presence in the eastern and western regions of the state, at a time when reaching our members effectively is more important than ever,” said Umar Farooq, general manager of Massachusetts. “It will offer us new opportunities to bring CCA’s clinical and administrative staff closer to members and provider partners in central Massachusetts.” The new office opened this month, though administrative employees continue to work remotely as a COVID-19 precaution.

While the office will serve primarily as an administrative site, it will also include a specially designed conference room for CCA’s Member Voices Program. This unique program opens an additional line of communication for CCA members to share feedback on their individual experiences and help improve programs and services across the organization.
