CCA Health Rhode Island General Manager Corey McCarty participated in a public health roundtable on The Bartholomewtown Podcast. McCarty, Dr. Amy Nunn, Executive Director of the Rhode Island Public Health Institute, and Carrie Bridges Feliz, Vice President of Community Health & Equity at Lifespan, discussed the biggest public health challenges facing Rhode Island residents.
The group discussed the importance of preventive care, particularly in the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused a decline in primary care visits and preventive health screenings. McCarty explained CCA Health’s commitment to making healthcare more accessible, both in a clinical setting and by addressing the social factors that impact members’ well-being.
“When we onboard a member, we’re listening to what they’re saying, because we need to understand the challenges they have,” he said.
