The Journal of Palliative Medicine published a letter from CCA’s Meghan Malone-Moses discussing the positive feedback CCA has received from patients in its Palliative Care Program. More than 90% of participants said they were treated with courtesy and respect. Notably, feedback remained positive regardless of the race and ethnicity of the respondent.

“The palliative care program staff are trained to provide culturally intelligent care that aims to promote patient advocacy, overcome access barriers, and improve care delivery. This, along with case management, informed decision making, and advance care planning, fosters open communication, trust-based relationships, and improved patient experiences,” she writes.
