Now in its 19th year, PBN’s annual 40 Under 40 list recognizes young business professionals for their efforts in the workplace and community
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – June 13, 2023 – Pawtucket native Maribel Echeverry McLaughlin, assistant general counsel with CCA Health Rhode Island, has been named to Providence Business News’ 40 Under 40 list, the publication announced today.
Now in its 19th year, PBN’s annual 40 Under 40 list recognizes young business professionals for their efforts in the workplace and community. McLaughlin is the first CCA Health Rhode Island employee to be included on the list since the organization launched its Rhode Island operations in 2021.
“Maribel is a key member of our growing team and a tireless advocate for her home state of Rhode Island. We’re fortunate to have her as a colleague and congratulate her on this well-deserved honor,” said Corey McCarty, senior vice president and general manager, CCA Health Rhode Island.
Serving as assistant general counsel, McLaughlin is responsible for ensuring CCA Health Rhode Island’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, and other regulatory departments. She works closely with the business team to develop policies, practices and guidelines concerning state, federal and international compliance with laws and regulations.
In addition to her role at CCA Health Rhode Island, McLaughlin is extremely active in her local community, having volunteered her time on the boards of the Rhode Island Latino Political Action Committee; the Rhode Island Latino Civic Fund; the Pawtucket Charter Review Commission; the Pawtucket Juvenile Hearing Board; and the Pawtucket Fairlawn Dog Park Committee.
The full list of 40 Under 40 honorees will be recognized at a ceremony on Thursday, July 20 at the Aldrich Mansion in Warwick.
