Dr. Robert MacArthur, Chief Medical Officer at CCA, joined Providence’s NBC10 WJAR program to discuss social determinants of health and the CCA uncommon care® model.
“We take a unique approach to care—we’re looking at individuals that have high risk, high cost, [and] that are hard to reach,” he said.
Dr. MacArthur explained that CCA focuses on three different areas of a member’s health: addressing members’ social determinants of health, behavioral health, and medical problems. CCA will offer a range of Medicare plans in Rhode Island beginning for enrollment on January 1, 2022, marking the organization’s first-ever market expansion outside of Massachusetts.
